The Four C’s

What Google Sees (and What Your Clients Don’t)

Several years ago, I worked with a well-respected broker — sharp, experienced, and by his own admission, a perfectionist. He cared deeply about how his website looked. Every month, I’d get a new screenshot of a competitor’s site with instructions: “Make mine look like this.”

The problem? His site always looked great — but it never performed.

That story isn’t unique. Many brokers and agents get stuck polishing the surface, convinced that a beautiful site will bring the traffic. It won’t. A good-looking site is nice to have, but it’s not where your success lives.

The truth is simple: your clients aren’t your toughest audience — Google is.

When Google visits your site, it isn’t impressed by glossy headers or cinematic sliders. It’s reading the code, crawling the words, and scanning for meaning. Google wants to know:

  • Is this content relevant?

  • Is it clear and readable?

  • Is this source credible?

  • Does the owner maintain control and consistency?

In other words, Google is grading you on what REArsenal calls the 4 C’s:
Context. Clarity. Credibility. Control.

The unfortunate reality is that most real estate websites struggle to nail even one of these — let alone all four. IDX feeds make every site look the same. Agent bios talk more about hobbies than market expertise. And content? Usually stale, borrowed, or both.

That’s where REArsenal steps in — helping independent brokers create authentic, search-friendly content that aligns with Google’s priorities and human expectations alike.

You don’t have to chase the next design trend. You just need a system that produces relevant, credible, and consistent content — while keeping you in control of your message.
